Call the court named on your ticket first. In Garza County, traffic warrants trace back to the court that issued the citation, whether that is Post Municipal Court, JP Precinct 1, or JP Precinct 2, each with its own docket. Garza County traffic warrants are not handled through the state license-compliance program. Ask the clerk whether a missed appearance or unpaid fine triggered the warrant, and what payment or hearing options the court allows. A receipt may come before the docket updates, so confirm posting and recall with the same court. Keep that confirmation for your file.

How Traffic Warrants Work in Garza County

A missed appearance or unpaid citation can lead to court process, but the first step is to identify the court printed on the ticket. A Post citation belongs to Post Municipal Court. A county or road citation may belong to JP 1 or JP 2.

The County Clerk's payment page expressly says not to pay traffic tickets there. Do not choose a court by geography alone; use the issuing court's record and instructions.

Garza County Post Traffic Warrant Route

Post Municipal Court handles city traffic and other Class C matters. Its page distinguishes an FTA warrant from a citation or nonpayment warrant, and says FTA information requires an in-person visit or a written request. A phone call does not count as an appearance.

The official Post Municipal Court page lists court contacts, payment terms, and forms.

Garza County Traffic Warrant Checks

There is no public Garza citation or warrant search form. Contact the court named on the ticket, using the citation or docket number and any other detail the clerk requests. A payment portal is not a live warrant-status tool.

  1. Use Post Municipal Court for a Post citation; ask for FTA details by visit or written request.
  2. Call JP 1 or JP 2 for the precinct shown on a county or road citation.
  3. Ask whether a separate FTA case or warrant was entered.
  4. Use DPS or OmniBase only for a reported citation or license-renewal issue.
  5. Ask counsel and the court how to resolve a confirmed matter.

Garza County JP Traffic Warrant Codes

JP 1 and JP 2 use different payment codes even though both list 300 West Main Street. JP 1's code is 3395465; JP 2's is 4424484. Each page asks for the amount plus a citation, driver's-license, or docket number.

The card fee is 2.85% or $1 minimum. A payment posts the next business day, and the court says recall waits until posting.

JP 1 payment instructions show the first route; JP 2 has its own payment page.

JP 2's payment route is distinct from JP 1's.

Do not use one precinct's bureau code for the other court.

Traffic Warrants: What They Show

Garza County Clerk Traffic Warrant Warning

The County Clerk payment page is for county-clerk payments, not traffic tickets. It expressly directs traffic users to the correct JP or Post Municipal Court. Use the court shown on the citation before entering an amount or sending money.

The County Clerk payment page also warns that a warrant is not recalled until payment posts. The office page shown here gives its courthouse contact.

Clearing a Garza County Traffic Warrant

Ask the court for the current amount, FTA/FTP status, whether a separate charge was filed, and whether you must appear. Payment, a plan, a hearing, or another option may depend on the citation and judge. Do not assume that paying one court clears a different case.

  1. Confirm the exact court, warrant type, balance, and appearance requirement.
  2. Ask which payment, plan, extension, course, or hearing option the judge allows.
  3. Use only the official route for that court and save the receipt.
  4. Call back after posting and ask whether the docket and any reported hold changed.

Payment timing: JP and County Clerk pages say payment waits until posting; a card charge alone does not show that a warrant has been recalled.

Post FASTGovPay Needs Court Approval

Post's court links FASTGovPay, but online payment is limited to full payment or an approved plan or extension. A card transaction carries a fee starting at 3.5%. Call the court for the current balance and approval before relying on the vendor screen.

Post's citation page links FASTGovPay as a payment route, while the court decides whether a plan or extension is approved.

Garza County Traffic Warrants and License Holds

A court warrant is a court-process entry. A separate FTA or failure-to-pay report can affect Texas driver's-license renewal when a reporting court sends the violation into the state program. These links may involve one citation, but they are not the same record.

Garza County Warrant Posting Delays

JP and County Clerk pages say online payment posts the next business day. A warrant is not recalled until that posting occurs. DPS says a cleared citation may take up to seven business days to clear from its system after the court action.

Keep the receipt, call the issuing court, and ask whether it reported the clearance. If a license issue remains, contact each court that reported a matter and then use the DPS contact route.

The DPS FTA/FTP FAQ describes its update timing.
